Every family is unique, so I offer a variety of doula services personalized for each birth. Every mother has different hopes and dreams for her experience. What ever that may look like for you, we will discuss in detail your preferences and expectations around your labor and birth. Together, we will explore your physical and emotional strengths and limitations to ensure you’re comfortable and prepared. Please email me with any questions you may have!
Prenatal Visits
After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, as your doula I am committed to your health and the well being of your growing family. We will discus your desired level of support and schedule a number of visits prior to your labor. These visits will allow us time to develop your labor rituals, review your birth wishes, and address questions and concerns you may have.
Birthing Guidance
Get personalized support throughout the entirety of your birthing journey. I will have a single responsibility during your labor: supporting you and your birth partner. We will use rhythmic breathing, massage, and other techniques practiced during our prenatal visits to create a satisfying and memorable birth experience. In addition, I am able to take photos and video of your labor if you so desire. Having someone to capture those incredible moments to look back on is absolutely invaluable!
Postpartum Support
Congratulations! You have met your beautiful baby! Now what?
Whether you're first time parents or seasoned veterans, everyone could use support as they enter the transition phase of bringing a new baby home.
At postpartum visits, we will discuss how you're healing, the development of your newborn, breastfeeding, soothing techniques, and more. My goal at your postpartum visit is to ease your anxieties and reduce the stress of a major family change.
Limitations
As a doula, I am not trained in the medical or clinical field. I cannot preform any tasks that your health care professional would during a checkup. I will not record your blood pressure, preform fetal heart monitoring, or carry out medical evaluations of any kind.
I cannot function as a decision maker at any time during your labor. I will assist in communicating your wishes, however, I cannot consent to or alter your medical services in any way.
I will not impose my beliefs or preferences on your labor or birth plan. I am here to guide and support you to achieve your ideal brth experience; whatever that may look like for you.
I am currently serving expectant families in the larger metro area. I am based out of Eden Prairie and can travel to meet with clients through out Minneapolis and it's suburbs. I'm currently serving a 50 mile radius.
